Hi! I'm David. I'm a junior currently studying CS at Carnegie Mellon who's interested in computer systems and functional programming!
I especially like databases.

I'm going to work at Yellowbrick this summer! Last summer I was at Neon (now Databricks) where I worked on making the caching layer both resizable and more performant.
I love computer systems and am happy wherever there's performance constraints or interesting challenges! I've been trying to take as many systems classes as possible at CMU and so far I've taken Distributed Systems, Database Systems, Compiler Design, Special Topics in DBs: Query Optimization, and Computer Networks.

Some things I've built in my free time (in loose chronological order) include an OSX kernel extension, lock-free data structures, an ML framework, a multiplayer exchange simulator, a custom HTTP server, this website, and more!
